The grades for the first term at the community college are in. Both Arthur and Gwen got straight A's. Now that it's been confirmed that they're not wasting their time and money, Gwen headed over to the college administration office to confirm their registration for the next term. She has enough credits that she just might be able to finish earning her degree in one more term.
As for the furballs, after sleeping comfortably inside the house, they were both permitted to go play outside after breakfast. Actually the real reason they were put outside was so Dakota could make a puddle. She just doesn't get the concept of the litter box the way Jasper does.
With their humans out of the way for a while, Jasper led the way out to the barn where he explained to Dakota that they need to keep their teeth and claws sharp in preparation for their world take-over. Dakota is a little confused by this, wondering how they can take over the world when they can't even go up and down the porch steps on their own. Nonetheless, she believes that Jasper knows what he's talking about and at once settled down with a chew toy.
As for Arthur, after he finished the daily farming chores he headed to the nearby fishing hole to see if he could catch something for the evening's dinner. While he was there the pond was visited by the island's small herd of wild horses. They're impressive animals but it would take a firm, but gentle hand to make good riding horses out of any of them.
While Arthur is aware of all the work and training that would be involved, he couldn't resist trying to make friends with this beautiful black blanket Appaloosa mare. Get your equestrian skill up just a little more, Arthur, and you just might be able to adopt this beauty.
It's hard to tell what the furballs would think if horses joined the household. Those animals are after all...really really big. One the hand, a horse could be a valuable ally in their quest for world domination. At least the chances of Arthur and Gwen figuring out what is going on are next to none. Humans are usually incredibly oblivious.
